Kifid

Two public-facing platforms for the Dutch Financial Services Complaints Institute.

Web Finances Connections Search

The question

Make Kifid's rulings and service provider register genuinely usable for the public.

Kifid, the Dutch Financial Services Complaints Institute, runs two public-facing platforms that matter: a register of every ruling it has issued, and a register of every financial service provider affiliated with it. On the previous website both were limited. Rulings were only searchable by summary, so anyone looking for a specific term, product, or clause inside the full text had no way to find it. The service provider register was static and disconnected from the source data Kifid actually maintains internally.

Our answer

Rulings you can actually search. A register that stays current.

We built both platforms together with Gloed, working as their technical partner on the rebuild of Kifid's public site. For the rulings, we indexed the full content of every published PDF, so visitors can search inside the text itself and land on the exact ruling they need. For the service provider register, we built a direct connection to Kifid's internal systems that runs every night, keeping the public view in sync without anyone pushing updates by hand. Built on React and .NET, meeting the accessibility and language standards Kifid set out in the brief.
